Community Weekend.
Join Chugach Ski Guides, Women Climbing Alaska and Portage Lodge for a winter gathering centered on mountain connection, shared adventure and community.
Portage Glacier Lodge · $50 registration
Optional stays for one night or all three nights.
This is a community gathering with personal recreation during the day. Formal ice climbing instruction is not included.

What to bring
Bring a sleeping bag and sleeping pad. The lodge has three bedrooms plus additional floor space for sleeping arrangements.

Time to meet other women who love being outside, exchange ideas and enjoy a welcoming winter basecamp.
Registered weekend participants only
Optional crevasse rescue workshop.
A four-hour, hands-on workshop with Chugach Ski Guides, booked through Alaska Guide Collective. Practice equipment setup, rope ascending, self-rescue, simple snow anchors and partner rescue systems.

Morning: 8 AM–12 PM · Afternoon: 1–5 PM
The focus is teamwork and becoming more comfortable with the equipment and systems used in glaciated terrain.
